How to make absolutely sure your business earns you what you really want

Do you want to be a millionaire?

No, seriously. I want to know. Is that what you’re aiming for?

I’m guessing it’s not. It’s not for me.

What I really want is to spend six months each year in Spain and Latin America, connecting with friends new and old, speaking Spanish, exploring, having crazy adventures.

At the same time, I want to continue doing the work that I love: working closely with ambitious, accomplished entrepreneurs to develop unique businesses based on their individual gifts and goals so that they too can get out and have crazy adventures.

It’s pretty specific.

Why does this matter?

Because, when I’m confronted by choices in my business, it’s obvious which ones take me towards this and which ones take me away.

It’s incredibly powerful. You might even call it a compass.

I know exactly where I want to go. So I’m ROCK SOLID on what I need to create to take me there.

That’s why the very first thing we do in Extraordinary Impact is get really clear on why you are doing this and where you want your business to take you.

Because, otherwise, you’re probably building the wrong thing.

TRAVELER’S TIP: Take some time out this week to do the most important work you will EVER do on your business:

  • Write down the three things you most want in your life. Just three. I know you want many things-pick the biggest, most essential concepts, what you MUST have in order to have the happiest life.
  • Once you have the core ideas, get very, very specific. Add enough detail to each one so it becomes a precise target you can aim for and know when you have arrived.
  • Then ask yourself: are you building a business that will take you there? If not, we should talk.
